The Rio Vista Windsurf Association (RVWA) maintains a site that includes Porta-Pottys, and off road parking/rigging areas.
A sand-bagged entry into the river makes access nice.
Please clean-up after yourself and keep dogs on a teather to avoid problems.
Best times of the year are May through September.
Typical patern is for a "Dawn patrol" early morning blow, then a slacking during the mid-day followed by a late afternoon session.
The River is greatly affected by the tidal currents. Tide charts are available by joining the RVWA at Delta Windsurf Company(A fine shop).
Ebb Tides (wind and river flowing opposite directions) produce a good swell, nice for jumps and freestyle type tricks. Flood Tides (wind and river flowing same direction) produce flat water conditions.
