(kitsurfing)A place for beginners to the coast to be introduced to the sea. It is the wash so it is fairly flat for the sea especially at low tide infornt of the sailing club where sandbanks form and can offer some massive boosting potential in the higher winds.

Infront of the sailing club is not the best idea in the summer monts as it is sandwiched with people to the point that it is unridable,(allways unrideable at high tide due to groynes) alternatelty ride at old hunstanton which is the perfect place to learn as i did, it has no real obsticles if you stay parallel to the carpark (theres loooooads of room). However at very low tide their is a prodominant mussel bed covering the majority of the beach which is ridable but be careful as the water is shallow with broken razor shells all over the place (booties are advised. Allways look out for the bits of wood that start to appear 1/2 way through a reclining tide.
When the tide comes up at old hunny' the 'waves' get up and could be described as harsh bump and jump some times due to the gusts given off buy the cliff, dont worry its not that bad, perfectly ridable if you are confident but could prove abit hairy for beginners or if you are good it some times you catch an updraft and can get some super hangtime.
Riiiight i know i have pointed out the main hazards and bad stuff heres the good part, the beach is very friendly and there is never any problem getting a launch even in the week because there is allways someone there nowdays, i have lost my board a few times and all the times' somone has rescued it you can allways get good advice and there is a clubyou can join 'the hub' with shower facilities availabe for the winter infront of the sailing club gtg sorry will finish later.............
