Windsurfing varies from "crusin the Harbor", riding the (sometimes) hugh waves outside the harbor, to flat water speed runs in the wave protected harbor. Water temps are cold even in summer (normally 38 - 45 degrees F). Plenty of fisherman if you have problems. The tourists, residents, and fishermen are generally happy to see you there.
