Windsurfing near Big Foot - Lake Geneva

In spring and fall, park on the entrance road, unload and rig in the grass. Then move your vehicle to the parking lot. State park sticker required.

Cross the road with your rig.

The Big Foot launch is good when the wind is west or NW. South or SW is not good because of the hill south of the launch. With a stong west wind (20+), the wind driven chop can be 3 to 4 feet, sometimes making it tricky to launch.

Stay away from the ferry boat on Lake Geneva.
